Amsterdam: History Alive Walking Tour
If you ask someone around the world what they know about Amsterdam probably they will mention the red light district and all coffee shops where you can buy weed, many people forget that in the 16th, 17th and 18th century the city played a major role in international trade, banking, architecture, and arts. Amsterdam is also the place where locals and visitors enjoy their beers, wines, and food in the many cafés, bars, and restaurants around. On my tour, you will see historic sights together with the history of life in the city. Not only history will be told but I will also tell you about present-day Amsterdam. In this tour, I will combine interesting historical facts with funny stories at known places, but also at unknown places. The tour is given on Thursday and Saturday at 11:00 am and 14:30 pm in English.
My name is Guido Moerwijk, I am 22 years old and I studied history in Amsterdam. I love the city and I have been there many times. I hope to see you in Amsterdam!
